The reason is that the product key I have for the Honestech software appears to only work on the Windows version of the application and not the Mac version. What I am attempting to do is set up a YouTube stream where I stream gameplay from my PS2 games and I could do this easily if I could use my Windows machine but it's a little harder on my MacBook. Honestech does have software for the Mac and that software is what I was previously using on Windows to do the exact same thing but for various reasons I can't use my Windows laptop to record my PS2's output, but I do have my MacBook. So right now, I'm trying to use my Honestech Vidbox (originally intended for converting VHS tapes to DVDs but it works fine to capture composite video from other devices like my PS2) to capture and record PS2 gameplay on my MacBook Pro.
